The Intercept by Carbon Express comes with three Maxima streak bolts, rope cocker, quick detach quiver, three practice points, lighted scope and rail lubricant. Straight out of the box there is minimal assembly required. Featuring a five position tactical AR stock, which needs to be inserted during installation and 175 pounds of draw weight, this bow is both compact and durable, making it the perfect weapon for long hunting excursions.
How This Crossbow Stands Out From The Rest
Assembly can be accomplished in minutes, requiring stock installation, scope attachment and rail and string lubrication. The crossbow’s quiver bracket is adjustable, allowing the user to mount the quiver to the right or left of the stock. Both the bracket and quiver feature quick detach mounts. Some users have also been known to mount the quiver parallel to the cables and strings for faster access.
This bow has a reputation for being quieter than some models like the Barnett Vengeance. Another great feature is the no creep trigger, which achieves a clean break with a pull weight of three and a half pounds.
Out in the field, the impact difference between twenty and thirty-yard sight lines is only a couple of inches. Forty and fifty-yard lines are incredibly difficult. The Axon’s scope provides a two-yard variance between sight lines. The variance at forty and fifty-yard lines can be frustrating. It’s recommended that you purchase a scope upgrade in order to land farther shots with ease.
The Picatinny mounting platform is the most commonly used platform in the industry. The Intercept also allows you to mount any type of feature you’d like, including rangefinder mounts, bipods, lasers, and flashlights. The bow’s fully adjustable grips will not only rotate into a variety of angles in order to fit each shooter’s needs, but it can also be adjusted rearward or forward. The combinations of adjustment between the fore-grip and stock will allow the user to shoot based on their personal preference.
